Priorities

Strong
Public Schools
In District 10, strong public schools are the foundation of strong communities. We must invest early in literacy and Pre-K, make sure funding follows the needs of our students and families, modernize aging facilities, and expand career and technical pathways that connect students to real opportunity.
At the same time, we must support and retain excellent educators. That also means investing in the full team that makes schools work — paraprofessionals, counselors, social workers, bus drivers, psychologists, nurses, and support staff — whose expertise supports students academically, socially, and emotionally every day.
Safe and Thriving Neighborhoods
District 10 deserves housing options that are affordable, attainable, and aligned with the needs of our communities. That means preserving existing affordable homes, expanding first-time homebuyer support, encouraging diverse housing types near transit and jobs, and protecting renters from displacement.
We can leverage public-private partnerships, and responsibly use state and federal resources to increase supply, stabilize neighborhoods, and ensure seniors, working families, and young professionals can all afford to live — and thrive — right here in District 10.
Targeted Economic Investment
Seeing the revitalization of Security Square Mall through to completion means transforming a long-neglected property into a vibrant center of jobs, green space, small business opportunity, and community life — so District 10 families can see and feel real economic renewal right in our own neighborhoods.

And supporting infrastructure means doing the work to make that renewal real: advocating for reliable, frequent transit service that connects District 10 to major commercial hubs, modernizing our commercial corridors and streetscapes, and investing in last-mile solutions so residents can safely and easily reach transit stops, jobs, and local businesses.
